The GOLDEN HIND model kit is an incredibly detailed engraved model, which is very fun and satisfying to put together. You start with 4 4-inch square steel sheets and finish them in a 3D model, simply use the easy-to-follow instructions included with the sheet to remove the pieces, bend the tabs and connect them at the attachment points. No glue or soldering required.

The Golden Hind or Hinde was an English galleon best known for its circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake. She was originally known as Pelican, but Drake renamed her mid-voyage in 1578, as he was preparing to enter the Strait of Magellan, and called her Golden Hind to compliment his patron, Sir Christopher Hatton, whose coat of arms It was a gold. hind' (a female deer). Hatton was a major sponsor of Drake's world tour.
