This truck is a Kenworth T880 SFFA with a McNeilus Bridgemaster mixer. It has a pusher axle and a carrier axle, it has a simple white decoration.
PACKING
Packaging consists of an outer shipping cardboard box enclosing a very high quality drawer tray within an image sleeve.
Included with the model are some parts to add to the model. The box has some details of the real truck.
DETAIL
The chassis has the engine, gearbox and transmission detailed in plastic, but it looks good. The chrome tanks and cases have black highlights and fenders. The plastic wheels are detailed and there are different tires on the different types of axles.
The Kenworth front grille is very good and has a logo on the top. The lights and front bumper look good too, although there is no license plate as this is a generic truck
The cabin has clean lines and the mirrors are plastic. The steps are textured. The exhaust pipe is highly detailed, and inside the cabin, the seats have the Kenworth logo printed on them.
There are a variety of lights and speakers on the ceiling, the mixing drum is metal and includes a detailed access hatch. On the front of the mixer, the engine and tank are modeled and small graphics add an authentic look.
The long wheel arch has small graphics on the edges. At the back there is a plastic access ladder and a platform in the hopper and they have bars that are very thin. The ramp and extensions have detailed graphics.
CHARACTERISTICS
The steering has a limited range of motion and the model rolls well.
The hood tilts forward by about 45° and can be posed in an inclined position. The engine below is detailed and bears the Paccar name.
The cabin has opening doors that achieve a reasonable angle.
The thrust shaft can be lifted out of service and also rotates at a very good angle. At the rear, the tag axle can be lowered.
The access ladder to the hopper platform can be folded down.
The drum rotates freely.
The ramp has a small up and down movement. Up to three extension ramps can be attached and the ramp can be rotated from side to side.
QUALITY
This model is well made and relatively heavy. Plastic is used appropriately, Paint and graphics are high quality
