This truck is a Freightliner Cascadia Sleeper Cab with a 40' dry goods ocean container.
Packaging
The packaging consists of an outer shipping cardboard box that encloses a very high quality drawer-type tray, covered in die-cut foam for product care and finally a plastic mold.
Detail
The chrome tanks and boxes have black highlights and have mudguards. The plastic wheels are detailed with unusual rear hubs.
The front grille looks impressive and there is a small Freightliner badge on top. The lights look good, although there is no license plate, since it is a generic truck model.
Around the cabin, the mirrors are plastic. The roof is a plastic piece with an excellent color combination with the metal pieces. The windows are not modeled on the doors to allow them to be easily opened. The interior detail is very good. Behind the cabin, the routes are well modeled and there is a support plate,
The trailer is mostly metal with a good frame and the axles are very well detailed. The wheels look good. Red and white highlighting is applied around the edges of the trailer. The taillights are painted.
The container is one piece entirely of plastic and is therefore lightweight. It looks good and has small graphics applied to add realism. The tailgate bolts are highlighted.
Characteristics
The tractor's steering has a moderate range of motion and the model rolls well. The wheels on the front axle were a little loose on the review model.
The fifth wheel has an adjustable longitudinal position.
The hood tilts forward by about 45° and can be placed in an inclined position. The engine is detailed below.
- The cabin doors open at a reasonable angle.
- The roof can be separated to give a view inside.
- The trailer support legs can be folded.
- The trailer kingpin can be placed in 4 different positions.
- The container has doors that swing open and open at an excellent angle.
Quality
This model is of good quality with plastic used for the container and in the details of the tractor chassis, the paint and graphics are of high quality.
